Hayden's Hip Saga

Hayden has been complaining about his hip/groin for almost a year. I kept telling him it was growing pains.  Finally I made him an appointment with he pediatrician to get a physical and see what is making his hip hurt... then the fun began.... 

March 15:     Dr. Dan Stampfl diagnoses a HERNIA and sends us to a surgeon

March 23: Dr. Cavin doesn't see or feel a hernia and wants un ultrasound.

March 24: at Dr. Cavin's for an ultrasound

Results: no hernia - Dr. Cavin thinks it is more skeletal.  

April 2: We meet with a doctor at TOSH - Dr. Dunn. He wants X-rays. 

He doesn't see a fracture and orders an MRI

April 5: SL Clinic Hayden has an MRI with contrast.  Poor kid didn't realize it was going to hurt.

Results: 

The MRI suggests that he might have a larval tear of the left hip.  

He wasn't to send is to Dr. Wiley

Hayden is tired of getting poked. He has decided to wait it out and see if it feels better over time. 

Steelers in Arizona

 For Mackay's birthday we gave him tickets to see the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Arizona Cardinals. 

We flew out right after our ward Christmas party on December 7th

We took a drive down memory lane with Aaron before the game.

BYU/UTAH Football Game

Our favorite family party is the BYU/UTAH football game.

But this year, Ashley's family had to miss it due to a horse show.

Josh and Meg and their boys came and swam for a bit, but because the boys are allergic to our dogs, they have a hard time enjoying the party. :(

Grandpa Earl came. 

Jenn and Scott and Jessica and Josh also came.

And of course, I forgot to take pictures.

Half Time Activities were held at the Gardner's home... ha ha

Kenz, Mackay, and Aaron did a little vandalizing.

Todd and Jeni appreciated having the WINNING team's logo on their drive way... 

Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl 2015

New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks.

We were torn as to who to cheer for.  

I like the coach and QB for Seahawks but they won last year.

I don't like the Coach for Patriots but I do like Tom Brady.

Then Deflategate began... 

Did the Patriots deflate their footballs to make it easier to catch? 

Are they cheaters?  

So we chose to cheer for the SEAHAWKS! (except for Rustyn).

We had yummy food and lots of it.

Those interested in the game filled their plates and entered the theater room to find a seat.

  

others felt the theater room is too claustrophobic

And some just wanted to play the games of their choice.

Everyone was happy for most of the night...

The commercials were great... My personal favorite:

The Halftime show was Katy Perry with weird sharks.

The games was close which made it fun.  

Score was tight and then the Patriots took the lead.  

Rustyn was happy and I thought it was over.  Until this happened....

Then us Seahawks fans had hope.  

We could run it in for a touch down and win the game.  

And then this happened.

Rustyn was happy once again and we were the ones "Deflated"... 

Still it is always fun to gather as a family and eat, laugh, and trash-talk each other.
