Covid Vaccines for the Kids

The kids got their first dose of the vaccine (Pfizer) on April 7th!

 

Their 2nd dose will be May 14th!!

Hayden's Hip Saga

Hayden has been complaining about his hip/groin for almost a year. I kept telling him it was growing pains.  Finally I made him an appointment with he pediatrician to get a physical and see what is making his hip hurt... then the fun began.... 

March 15:     Dr. Dan Stampfl diagnoses a HERNIA and sends us to a surgeon

March 23: Dr. Cavin doesn't see or feel a hernia and wants un ultrasound.

March 24: at Dr. Cavin's for an ultrasound

Results: no hernia - Dr. Cavin thinks it is more skeletal.  

April 2: We meet with a doctor at TOSH - Dr. Dunn. He wants X-rays. 

He doesn't see a fracture and orders an MRI

April 5: SL Clinic Hayden has an MRI with contrast.  Poor kid didn't realize it was going to hurt.

Results: 

The MRI suggests that he might have a larval tear of the left hip.  

He wasn't to send is to Dr. Wiley

Hayden is tired of getting poked. He has decided to wait it out and see if it feels better over time.
