A Picnic with Mom

Three Years...
A picnic at the cemetery.
It isn't a celebration - that's for sure.
It's just nice to be with those who understand.
It's a weird day. We were all a little quiet and reserved.
Didn't cry. Didn't laugh. Didn't even reminisce much.
Just spent an hour with those that could make it.
We missed Manda (in Indiana), Adam (in DC), Dad (at work) and, OF COURSE, Mom. :)

Fun!! Wish I could have been there. We sent balloons to heaven but our first bunch of balloons wouldn't even lift off the ground so Brett had to go at 10 pm to the grocery store to buy more:)
We also had an ice cream party with friends. But I too love to be with those who understand. I miss you all:(

I love that you guys do this tradition - gathering together to remember your mother. What a fun way to celebrate her life and remember how much of her still lives on through all of you. Great pictures. Everyone is growing and changing so much.
