Maui for Aaron's 47th Birthday

We flew into Maui Thursday January 14
We stayed at our usual Honua Kai ($3200) but rented through Maui Resort rental.
Probably won't do that again.

Friday January 15th we celebrated Aaron's actual birthday at Kimos ($125)

I totally ordered WRONG - Aaron got the Mahi Mahi and I got AHI (yuck)
of course we got Hula Pie!

but you can't complain about the food.

we shopped Front Street until it closed (7 pm weird - stupid Covid)

Saturday January 16
We played on the beach. Ate at Dukes - YUM!

Sunday January 17th we watched football games and laid at the beach.

We ate dinner at Lahaina Fish Co ($86)
Aaron had a rib eye and I had Macadamia Nut crusted fish??
Phil was our waiter and was AWESOME!!

Monday January 18th we got acai bowls at the farmers market for breakfast

then took a drive to see Nakalele Blowhole - but it RAINED BUCKETS all day so we couldn't get out.

We ate lunch at Down the Hatch and got our usual Lava Lava Shrimp.

so much RAIN!!!!!

Tuesday was beautiful
We ate Pancakes at Dukes (36)

And decided to try a new restaurant for dinner Honua Seafood & Pizza ($44)
We won't return but it was fun to try something new.

Wednesday January 20th
Aaron dove the coral reef outside the Hyatt beach ($128) while I sat on the beach (my favorite)

We ate prime ride at Leilanis for dinner ($82)

He's always running back to grab sunglasses or a sweatshirt :)

Thursday January 20th
We started at the beach and went to Dukes for nachos.

We ate at Lahaina Fish Co for dinner ($100)

Friday we sat at the beach but couldn't get in the water due to a SHARK ATTACK!

We went to Leilanis AGAIN for dinner and saw a whale get stuck in the shallow waters.
Strange events this trip

Our flight got delated from 9:30 pm to 12:45 am
We were the last people to be let into the airport... who knew airports close???

I love our trip each year

I love how you include the prices of your trips! I had no idea how expensive Hawaii is! Thanks Dawn!
