Grandpa Earl turns 74

Grandpa Earl turned 74

For his birthday we gave him:
a new clock with the DAY, MONTH, DATE, AND TIME on it.
(Alzheimers is the pits)
his favorite snacks/junk food
and then my brother Josh came up with this awesome idea.

My dad LOVES the Utah Jazz.  He will rearrange his schedule to be sure he can watch the jazz games.
Matt Eaton used to play for the Utah Jazz.  He also owns a restaurant that requires a liquor license.
Josh reached out to Mark Eaton on an app and had his send my dad a birthday message.
It was such a surprise and made the day!!
After pizza, cake, and gifts - we watched..... the Utah Jazz game.

THANKSGIVING

Janice and Hans came for Thanksgiving this year.
I was so excited to use my  new dishes for the holiday.
I got everything ready.
But my rolls refused to rise.  So I called my best friend Jeni.  Her advice was to put them near the fire.  Maybe my house was too cold. Mackay was watching a football game and didn't realize there was a pan of rolls and sat right on top.
SOS!! Jeni offered to make me rolls.  Best friends are THE BEST!  She was a life savor this year.

The boys played in the annual Turkey Bowl.

We went to see Knives Out while the turkey was cooking.  Then once set we ate around 1:30 p,
Other than those darn rolls, we had a nice SNOWY holiday with Grandpa Earl, Janice and Hans and only got these three pictures... :(

(Thanks Kenzie for loving the snow blower)

A Baby Shower for Jessica

Jessica is having a BABY!!
So we had a PARTY!

#DaysImissmyMom - Dad/Grandpa Earl gave Jessica a special gift.  My mom wore this necklace all the time. She and Jessica had a conversation about this necklace long before my mom got sick.  Jessica is the first grandchild to have a baby.  It is an exciting time for my sister Jenn and especially Jess.  I wish my mom was here to celebrate with us but I am so grateful for these little gifts that bring her back even if it is just for a moment.

Click HERE to see Jessica's reaction.

Before the Deck ... can we just take a minute to admire my mom's gorgeous roses in her entry!!!  So Pretty!  She would love them!!

While my dad was away on vacation.... I snuck in and cleaned, set up, and decorated his back deck.
