Maui 2017
January 12th :
Flew out around 1pm and arrived in Maui around 8pm.
Rented a car, hit the grocery store and headed to our hotel Honua Kai.
Saturday Jan 13th we woke up early to head to the farmers market but had to "shelter in place" for a bit, due to a Ballistic Missile Threat. Although Aaron and I weren't too alarmed, it really scared the locals. Lots of scrambling and tears and running around.
Once the lock down was lifted we heading out to the Farmer's Market and shared our first Acai bowl for breakfast.
We roamed for a while and ate lunch at Dukes.
After some time at the pool we went into Old Lahaina and ate dinner at Kimo's. The view was awesome and the risotto was SO rummy!! ;)
Sunday January 14th was a day for Football! I will never complain about having Civiche from Amigos for breakfast.
We went into town again since the weather wasn't great. We shopped for the kids. Visiting Maui Jims. And Aaron wasn't going to leave Hawaii without a hat for the pool.
Lunch was at Lahaina Pizza Company.
He wanted an Acai bowl for his birthday breakfast and Ruth Chris for dinner.
44 never looked so good.
Although we don't drink it was very sweet of the restaurant to bring us both a free glass of wine/champagne/whatever this was...
Tuesday January 16 we visited the BIG Maui Jim store so Aaron could get exactly what he wanted. We shopped again on Front Street. Got more ceviche for lunch. Hit the grocery store for diet coke. Laid at the pool and dined at Dukes for dinner.
Dukes
Wednesday January 17:
Scenic Drive. Did a little shopping. Sat at the Beach and ended the night at Koa's for dinner
Thursday January 18th:
We love driving the neighborhoods and dream about buying a home.
But then we get hungry and go eat. Dukes for Lunch and Lahaina Fish Co. for dinner
Friday January 19th: After spending our final day at the beach, we went BACK to Lahaina Fish Co for our last dinner before catching a flight.
I hate leaving this island!! I love it so much!
Even the craziness of Front Street is comfortable and familiar.
I love it!
